INFINITY COMES
Infinity comes unstoppable like an illness.
Unseen it has surrounded you quietly.
For years you have been besieged by waters.
Infinity offers you all ways astray,
and you try them, frightened and eager, so young.
In years you find that
the roads curl back upon themselves,
and you stand limpid and trembling,
roadless: infinity is filling up your eyes.
You cannot wink.
Time stops and this moment will last ever on.
Infinity penetrates you slowly.
Wait for what will happen;
while the raising flame
devours the chants of your body
to breathe you out mildly
in the scent of the sky.
