A FORGOTTEN VILLAGE Here everything is as it once should have been: the grass grows up to the ankles, but at night, asleep, it shrinks, and the following day - the same again. The ankles walk caressed by the grass. Here, there is abundance of everything. The cows chew infinitely long. in the corners butterflies are born, and then spiders, to weave thier nets. What is not eaten at once must be passed to the neighbor, but no-one is hungry, so a soundless dance unrolls from kitchen to kitchen. The men want to grow mustaches, but the night outruns them as everything disappears, by the next blink, dawn is there again and everything starts spinning anew. Thus the dance continues until the whole village learns a single movement to perfection. |
