BLOOD RED AND BLACK

… I am devoted to a backward faith:
the unseen contains and cannot speak.
Runes encrusted on the loans,
Sorcery lies in the blood,
Blood shining and powerless
To refuse and return,
To ring on the red road.

Yet, there is a black blood too,
Which ponders and thumps,
And the hand hidden behind
Rules in silence.
It holds a wild dagger.
It strikes where I put my heart.

I held the forehead
For a point of terror.
Now I see with the void
And I hear with the veins.
The blood overgrows me
And changes the ages.
All the less human,
All the more echo.

The blood grows ancient.
Wild, it gallops hollow
Where I could not reach.
The shrunk up World
Fills up with lava
And the scattered body
Burns upon the ruins.
Red and black, black and red.
