SEA GOLD

A walled-up woman
Counts the mosquitoes
On a full sea voice
Upon searing foam.
Broken-back ladders
Swaddle the earth, groan.
At the dawn of lethal songs
The World falls down like an axe,
It crumbles the feminine knees,
And the sky-ice squeals,
The buried day startles
In the Earth’s ambush.

The head nods up and down violently;
Ages, future and resurrected, die again.
The young gold’s warm-hearted song
Alters the illness of the mighty summers.
And the virgin fallen into nightmare
Lays its nape upon the moist ire.
With one blow the Earth takes away
The cruel roar of her bosom heat.
Black mountain guards cover with soil
The vigor of the rye in the inner wells.
Under a dizzy breath of a twilight tune
A giant, half-asleep, cuddles,
Soothed like an expanse of ghostly summers.

A day built of the beaming hour of the rock.
Ray-like stairs curve up from the One.
A roiling gloom, hungry, he cannot rest –
The Man come from the silent wolf’s teeth.
