NIGHTHOME

A home harsh, dark, gaping at night,
A home with cut off walls,
With no face, no hands,
It defends the Limpid.

You blind headman, I desert you in secret
And foolish, I stumble through the tall grass.
I heard a sound once long ago
In this wholly deaf World.

Still inside snakes glow, tiny, black,
Heartlessly good, they teach me by teeth.
In soil the snake-skeletons heal up,
From the palm, crumbled they gaze up as if at a god,
They bite painfully into the vulnerable fingers.

Poisoned I awake as a black cloud,
With the fist, empowered,
Pounding at the sky.
